Hidden in Plain Sight

The man she wanted was filled with words of wisdom that stimulated her intellect and further established her confidence. He properly guided her to a success that she herself thought could never be possible.

His words were the honied-dew kind that would remove strength from knees. They were like a heated knife melting through butter; romantic and yet filled with respect that solidified her inner-beauty and self-worth.

He showed her who she really was, not the reflection in the mirror but the finished, refined and perfected product of who she could be and was made to be. It’s as if he parted the curtains of time of revealed who she would eventually become.

He was just a shadow of a greater Master, an Architect at work. He was a father reassuring her of his love. He was a mother, comforting her in her times of hurt. He was that best friend who could read her emotions beneath the smile. He was the spouse that was carved from all that would complete her and by which he too would be completed.

He was Jesus, reaching through every friend, family member and lover trying to get to you. Behind every good, every smile, every moment and even the pain;
Jesus was forever the lover who was behind the good that came.

All that she can and was ever made to be, could never be achieved, until to His love finally surrendered and bent the knee. His plan is perfect, pure and powerful and was designed even before her birth; the problem is that she now gives His praise to everything else which brings Him pure hurt.

The Lord is not coming just for our:
¤ Tithe of 10%
¤ Day of Worship
¤ Few minutes of Prayer
¤ Random religious post
¤ Several respectable deeds

If we think He is, then we have been gravely deceived and immediate changes are recommended.

The Lord is coming for EVERYTHING!!!

He said to LOVE the LORD your GOD with ALL your HEART, ALL your SOUL & ALL your MIGHT; and finally, LOVE your NEIGHBOR as yourself (Luke 10:27).

He doesn’t want a portion, a day, an act, a moment. He wants ALL and in truth and in fact; deserves ALL.

That is:
¤ ALL our money
¤ ALL our energy
¤ ALL our talents
¤ ALL our focus
¤ ALL our attention
¤ ALL our affection
¤ ALL our minutes, days, weeks & years
¤ ALL our good, bad & ugly
¤ ALL our mess & messages
¤ ALL our sacrifices
¤ NO holding back
¤ NO reservation
¤ NO hesitation
¤ NO relenting

Then & ONLY then will we truly experience Ultimate Freedom & Victory in Jesus Christ.

Until that time, the devil will always have a bargaining chip; a tether by which he can reach us.

When we give it ALL up for Jesus, He will give it ALL up for us.

Competing Powers

In a world built on the need to be the best, the first, to be seen, to be known, to be liked and to be followed; the war of competing powers is one never to be engaged in, but simply ignored.

This ‘driven’ world is built on man-made, human-defined success that proves false, lacking and short-lived. As we assess the lives of the rich and the famous, we easily realize how much so many of them fail on even coming even close to achieving peace, security, deep-rooted happiness, lasting joy and true success.

Rather, we hear of sex scandals, DUI’s, drug-abuse, suicides, questionable deaths along with their being plagued by paparazzis, who withhold our basic desire for privacy. Yet, so many people rush in for the deception of wealth and fame, not knowing the ask that it requires is one that very few are truly willing to pay.

The most unfortunate thing is for the one’s who have paid the ultimate price and sacrificed what was necessary to get what they so needed from life and still find themselves wanting.

Man has no greater need for God, yet what he wants and hungers for is disguised in the glitter of this world. The sooner we realized this, the sooner we can resign from competing for attention, and recognize that we always had His attention.

He was always there. The God of the farthest galaxies and widest expanses is indelibly, indefinitely, passionately, unconditionally in love with you and that’s all that matters. No need to vie for the world when God the Creator of All desires to not only care for you but wants for to be with Him in Heaven.

Submit to Him today and allow His love to transform your life.

Paid for in Blood

Beaten and battered, panting in pain
The whip which ripped flesh, blood drips;
saturated in shame.
Oozes His blood, no flesh to retain –
Body marred beyond recognition, His condition met by evil untamed.

After the whips, battery, ridicule and torment,
The betrayal, denial, false accusations; the red carpet
Rolled out for Barabas the murderer they all said
That Jesus’ punishment was in no way halted.

His riddled back wriggled with the cross; blood trickled,
Strength departing from knees as he’d buckle they’d giggle.
Yet; he inched closer to our salvation each weakening step, little by little.
The King who became a curse and from defeat, victory He chiseled.

As nails driven among flesh, blood and bones breaking,
His screams bellowed ‘to the heavens; strength exasperating.
Lifted at Gilgal as the jeering never-ceasing,
The Devil prematurely started celebrating.

It was when Jesus looked to heavens with the last thoughts of YOU and me,
He knew these were His lasts breaths that would set His world free.
Yet, for the first time something happened that led him to His last plea;
“Father, Father; why hast thou forsaken me?”

Men’s words and reenactment of this event could never truly be captured.
Words fail, imagination fails, so the attempt of any actor.
The last words of Jesus as He ended that last chapter,
Tells the gravity of sin when a soul is truly captured.

The presence of God leaves, there is no fellowship between holiness and sin,
And living in sin is only a spit in the face of Jesus your King.
It’s the way we crucify Him for another day of doing our own thing,
But just as how God’s presence left Him, the soul that sins also lives without Him.

This is where His investment of holiness, pain and suffering fails,
When we hear of His gospel but in the presence of your sinfulness it pales.
You then turn from Him, the Messiah who weeps and wails,
His last breath was that you would live free with every breath exhaled.

So I beg of thee, Turn my brother, my sister walk not away!
The risk you take was the price that Jesus already paid.
There is a life of freedom and power in Jesus if you receive Him today;
Rejecting could become eternity. Is that a price that you’re willing to pay?

Freedom can defined as liberation from slavery, restraint or another power.

Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice of giving Himself for our freedom from entrapment, entanglement, powerless living and a victimized lifestyle.

By His sinless life, suffering and death upon the cross paid for our eternal freedom along with dominion over all the sins that brought defeat, death and destruction.

Believe It Or Not:
⇒Belief in Jesus alone is not enough to experience salvation or freedom from the power of sin and the grave.
“You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.” James 2:24

⇒Even the devil and his demons believe in God; maybe even more than us, since they have seen Him.
“You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.” James 2:19

⇒Belief Accompanied by Action brings not just freedom but victory over sin.
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 15:55-57)

Dear Jesus, my Lord & Savior; I thank You for giving Your life that I would be free from sin, the grave and the devil. I confess today that I am a sinner. If any man boast, let him boast in what the Lord has done for him (2 Cor. 12:9).

If any man be greedy, let him be greedy for more of the Lord’s anointing in his life (Psalm 27:4).

If any man be happy, let his most profound joy be that his name is written in the Book of Life (Luke 10:20).

If any man be hungry, let his greatest hunger be for the Lord’s righteousness (Matt. 5:6).

If any man lusts, let his yearning be an unquenchable fire of desire for more of God’s glorious power and presence in his life (Ps. 27:4).

If any man loves, let his true love be for the Lord, his First Love (Rev. 2:4).

If any man seeks knowledge, let his greatest attainment be in knowing Jesus as Jesus as his Lord and Savior and the power of His resurrection (Philip. 3:10).

If any man fears, let his only fear be the fear of the Lord and the working out his salvation (Philip. 2:12).

If any man has respect, let his greatest reverence be for the Lord God Almighty (Deut. 13:4).

Let us not be fooled:
Knowing all, Having all, Feeling all, & Doing all; if done without Jesus all adds up to nothing. Naked a man cometh and naked shall he return (Job 1:21). Paul, most importantly stated, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philip. 1:21).

In other words, there is no true life outside of Christ. To truly enjoy life, to feel the power of God in you, to feel a love from God that cannot be compared to anything else; we must be willing to live for Christ. Dying in this life, therefore; means to be present with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8). That is, eternal life in Heaven forevermore.

The Soul that Suffers

The word, ‘suffer‘ means to experience pain, hardship or distress. It is something that we, all as people must go through whether as Christians or unbelievers. We have all suffered at some point in our lives. The question is, whether we are suffering for Christ’s sake or our self’s sake. The answer to either helps us with our perspective and thus impacts our ability to relieve ourselves from this predicament.

To suffer for Christ’s sake as 2 Timothy 3:12 states is not only a part of the Christian life and cannot be escaped but, is also a privilege and honor. For if we suffer with Him we will also reign with Him (2 Timothy 2:12).
For example, no one wants a friend or partner who wants to be there just for the good times, the profits and the ups but selectively disappears in the bad times, the losses and the downs. You want someone who is with you through the mess to the message, through the test to the testimony.

To suffer for self’s sake is something to be taken cautiously. One reason is that we definitely do not have an assurance of any deliverance or lasting resolution. The second reason is that sometimes suffering outside of Christ may lead us to feeling a sense of hopelessness that then is compounded with varying fears. Loneliness, sadness and depression are also emotions that may try to overcome us. This is not a state that God wants anyone of his children to be in, whether Christian or non-believer.

We must recognize that when we suffer, the Lord suffers even more. He hurts more and feels in a capacity that far exceeds our ability to even imagine or handle. His pain grows exponentially when He has every intention and limitless power to save us but our sins have tied His hands from being able to help. Isaiah 59:1-2 states “Surely uthe arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

The reality is that children of God have a 100% guaranteed gateway to deliverance whenever they are suffering, as Matthew 11:28-30 states, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” This is Jesus’ promises to those who are willing to come to Him and learn from Him.

Will you consider giving the Lord your life today?
If you are a backslider, will you consider returning to Him?
He wants to fight the battle for you (2 Chronicles 20:15). Will you stop fighting in your own strength and let Him fight in His?
Or, are you going to continue to live, suffer and die by yourself and for yourself?
