Loneliness Has Friends – cont’d

In going through moments where we struggle with the feeling of loneliness it is noteworthy to be cognizant of the following:

1. There are other brothers and sisters across the world that may be in the same situation as you.

2. Jesus, himself suffered from this feeling of abandonment upon the cross (Matt. 27:46).

3. He sent His Holy Spirit, Our Comforter, so that we would never have to suffer alone and that we would have the power to overcome.

4. Finally, if we allow loneliness to takeover, it may lead to self-pity, bitterness, depression and so forth.

I find it very comforting when being in a situation, that I am able to get advice or comfort from someone who went through the same thing. When Jesus took on the sins of the world, He felt abandoned by God, yet we have to remember one thing – God promised that He will never leave nor forsake us.

So the question is this:

If God promises to NEVER leave nor forsake, why would Jesus ask “…my God, why hast thou forsaken Me?”

I believe the reason Jesus asked this question is based on the truth that He lived an entire life without sin. Once He took on all the sins of the entire world, generations gone and those to come, He felt the most powerful effect of sin; SEPARATION FROM GOD.

Sin separates us from God and not God from us.

Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. Isaiah 59: 1-2

Sin is the severance of an electrical item from its power supply. Remove a bulb from its socket and all you’ll have is glass. Removing ourselves from His presence via sin only open us up to a devil who not only want us to feel lonely, but to be lonely for eternity. For if Hell is one thing assured, it is an eternal separation from God.

Love Rejected

He calls for a girl who he craved for from day one,
If she even gave him a smile he would climb the moon, and defeat the sun.
He saw her beauty before the world raised their spotlight.
If she was hurt her enemies would see one supremely hostile.
His eyes paved paths and made her crooked ways straight,
Before she could utter a word her desires were already made.
He spoiled and swooned her with gifts fit for a queen,
But, this love met its bitter end when world beckoned and screamed.

She then rejected his calls and blocked him at every place,
He searched deep within to find out if he had made a mistake.
She found new friends, desires and all sorts,
He knew he did all he could and like a gentleman showed no force.
She adapted new speech, behaviors, beliefs,
He reacted by seasonally reaching out but his love was out of reach.
She soon forgot all about him, he became a fleeting thought,
Even though he had unlimited power her love could not be bought.

She married a man great in stature with fame, he stood a king,
Yet, she felt like life was never about her when she spent time with him.
She did receive the rarest gifts and all she could every ask,
Yet, sometimes when he grew angry she would be the recipient of his wrath.
She felt powerless to escape and rested in her tears,
Yet, somehow her mind pondered of her first love as she peeled back the years.
She remembered he made a promise that he is only one call away,
And with that small call a mighty army descended as all her enemies lay slayed.

From that day to now she has made him the apple of her eye,
He is her King, her First Love, the one who doesn’t know how to lie.
Love rejected is the most suicidal way to live,
She learned it is better to stick to with His unfailing love – that the devil can never give.
A person today living without Jesus as the Savior of their life,
Is like a person wishing time would stop as a next second goes by.
Death is not a question of IF but the wonder of  WHEN;
For some, sin is too fun to give up for Holiness and Heaven.

Who Dares Steal His Glory?

For every breath I take and exhale
It is a testimony of love’s travail.
For every smile on my face,
To the strength of the moves I make –
All Glory to You Oh God, Worthy to be praised.

For every meal enjoyed
To the rest, sleep and breaks.
For every friend and family I have,
None given to me by mistake –
All Glory to You oh LORD, The Ancient of Days.

For every dollar and cent I make,
Tithed and offered back to You in faith.
Yet, a world of people who you have made,
And so many have taken Your glory away.

Whether with full knowledge or by mistake,
We give glory to God by the choices me make.
To use our mouth to give Him praise,
To use our lives as examples of His grace,
To use our earnings to tithe back to Him in faith,
To be obedient to His Word for the rest of your days,
To be willing to die for Him as He died in our place,
To know the beauty of His calling and gaze upon His face,
To fight the good fight and at least run this race,
Or be disqualified from paradise and face eternal disgrace.

The Lord God is forever worthy and all Glory be to His Name,
And He will receive all the Glory by free will or force on Judgment Day
When every knee shall bow and tongue confess giving Him praise.
So give Him praise while free and spend eternity in His prepared place,
Or give Him praise later, only to be banished away towards Hell’s gates.

For Want of a Nail

“For the want of a nail the shoe was lost,

For the want of a shoe the horse was lost,

For the want of a horse the rider was lost,

For the want of a rider the battle was lost,

For the want of a battle the kingdom was lost,

And all for the want of a horseshoe-nail.”

The horseshoe-nail may at the time seemed like the most insignificant, easily overlooked item on the list of things to worry about. It may have been as important as a fleeting thought or passerby on a busy street. Yet, the nail ignored became a kingdom destroyed.

The question I ask you today is this, “What nail are you overlooking today? What is the sin the easily besets you? Of which sin are you easily entangled in again and again? The seemingly insignificant, daily, seemingly harmless sin of today, can and may very well be the loss of a life and an eternity away from God tomorrow.

Many a friends of mine have come into contact with a near-death experience at some point in time. Even more have had the treasure of conviction made present by the presence of the Holy Spirit. Yet, most of my friends and sadly even family members, still betray their own God-given purpose for the likes of sin, self and the grave.

This message is for the each and every one of us, myself included. In introspection and sheer honesty, couple with humility is our assured victory in Christ Jesus. Let us not overlook any sin in our lives but become militant in our desire for “holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14.

How Successful Are You?

When life fades from my eyes and strength from my body;
When time no longer flies and becomes eternal as knowledge;
When I see my last sunrise and I leave all of my attained luggage;
The only thing that I desire is in Thy presence, to find solace.

My success is not tied to degrees, wealth or fame;
Success means to be freed from sins disease in Jesus’ Name.
My success is not how the world defines it or a matter of opinion,
Success is realized if we have given the Lord Jesus all dominion.

Any other gain, standard, or attainment is but a loss,
If on Judgment Day at my arraignment I refused the cross.
Everyday but a payment towards a cost,
Of a pain meant for His fallen angels, not us.

Success is derived when we are weighed, measured and surely not found wanting,
Success is Christ, the Way, the Truth & the Life we all wanted.
Success is revived each day we seek Him amidst our sinful wanting,
Successfully clinging to Christ, empowering the ones who feel daunted.

I implore you from my friend to even my worst of enemies,
Blessed is the man that has tasted and now sees.
I wish my words were successful enough to describe just how it feels,
When you have bent your knees to the Lord or Lords, Jesus; our Prince of Peace.

Holiness: The Immutable Standard

We live in a world Today where good is becoming evil and evil, good. Actually, to be honest, the world has always been like this; they said Jesus was possessed after all. I was on Instagram recently when I watched a video captioned ‘love is love,’ and it basically was promoting gay couples. The comment section of course is where you could expect the drama to be. Anyone who disagreed with this behavior and responded even in the most diplomatic way was still branded as bashful, hateful or homophobic.

It’s amazing how we all can agree that murder and rape is wrong, yet homosexuality is now trying to blur those lines. So are the sins of fornication, adultery, greed, idolatry, unforgiveness and so much more. The line that separates good from evil, unrighteousness from holiness is trying to be blurred by the world around us, but God’s Word endures through all generations and neither changes like shifting shadows.

His standard of holiness then, is the same standard of holiness now and it never changes. Isn’t it funny how God made us in His image and likeness but we turned around and did Him the same favor, making Him into our own image and likeness; in order to suit our sinful lifestyles and appease our conscience? Let us not fall victim to the sin of pride, of exalting ourselves. Let us harken to the voice of the Lord through scripture and not be swayed by the culture and norms of today’s society; for ‘without holiness, no man shall see the Lord‘ (Hebrews 12:14).

The Unspeakable Now

Speak of the unspeakable subject now to avoid the place un-redeemable then.

Many Christian leaders nowadays have softened the way they preach and teach from the Bible. Many have resorted to find sound, ear-candy kind of messages; preaching what itching ears want to hear rather than what people need to hear.

The Lord revealed to me years ago that the state of a lost soul can be likened to one drowning in a pool; one moment they may be there and another they’re gone. This aligns with the scripture of God describing human life as but a mist that appears for a while and quickly disappears.

The person that is drowning, in trouble, on their way to destruction and damnation does need to know of God being the God of love and grace but that has to be balanced with knowing He is also the God of truth and justice. On one hand He promises eternal life to all those who will snatch the rope from drowning in sin and on the other He promises a place of eternal suffering, where death and destruction momentary status evolve into eternity.

An insurer asks us to be insured against risk. A doctor may say ‘prevention is better than cure.’ I say REPENT, for the end is near!!! That end maybe life as we know it but it could jolly we be us that are called next.

The Cure for H.I.V.

Scenario:

Imagine if you or someone you loved was diagnosed with H.I.V. One can imagine that this could be the worst news that most people would ever want to hear. However, I also want you to imagine that there was a cure for H.I.V but it was very expensive. Let’s say the cost was 2 million dollars. Would you be willing to pay for the cure or invest in it for your loved one? Most people I know would.

Lesson:
One of the worst diseases in this world is sin. It is the root cause of sickness, disease, pain, depression, death and so much more. So many people there be that suffer from this eternally catastrophic disease yet none seem excited for the cure of Jesus Christ. We seem to be more swayed by the fruits of sin than sin itself. This is not a surprise or mere coincidence.

The devil has deceived us into accepting sinful lifestyles as we slay the voice of our conscience and the Holy Spirit. This then allows us to feel free and at peace in sin but in the end it’s the greatest deception of all. Let us not wait for calamity when the wages of sin comes to fruition when we then come to our senses. I urge us all to mediate upon the disease of sin and appropriate the cure of Jesus Christ.

Happy Emancipation Day Jamaica!

My prayer for everyone in this ‘Land We Love,’ is for all of us to be holistically free. We have freedom in one sense, but with regard to our minds, souls and bodies there is another fight to win. It is a fight, and winning is the only acceptable option. Freedom cannot be gained by merely asking or negotiation. For many, freedom had to be purchased in blood and battle.

Our freedom was already paid for, when Jesus Christ, the Lord & Savior of the World came down to earth and fought the most bloody and most important battle for all lifetime. He won the battle for us to have the following:
¤ For our health over sickness and disease
¤ For our peace of mind over stress and chaos
¤ For our self-control over addictions and weaknesses
¤ For our power over principalities and demonic forces.
¤ For our joy over anger and depression.
¤ For our prosperity over poverty and lack.
¤ For our freedom over sin, death and the grave.

This day of National Emancipation can become a day of Personal Eternal Emancipation. A day where YOU say to the devil, “I will serve you no longer,” a day where you say to your flesh, “I shall daily slay thee,” and finally; a day where say to Jesus, “Lord Jesus, I confess of all my sins and ask You to forgive me of all my unrighteousness. I invite You into my heart and my life and be My Lord & Savior forevermore. AMEN!!!”

LET TODAY BE THE DAY WE ALL EXPERIENCE AND CELEBRATE EMANCIPATION IN CHRIST JESUS.

Know Your Enemy

Daily Dosage
Friday, July 14, 2017

Last night I spent about an hour tearing the tint off of the back glass in the my car, as it had started stripping. The Lord began asked if I had realized how much brighter the car had gotten as I got closer to completion. It was amazing, because even though it was at night the car had definitely gotten so much brighter, by removing the veil; I’m sorry the tint😉.

The Lord revealed to me just how the enemy uses tint (a veil, mind-blinding spirits) just like a pair of sunglasses, to prevent those who are in a sinful state from seeing God in His awesome splendor and majesty, lest we see who He really is and serve Him.

2 Corinthian 4:3-4 (Amplified Version)
But even if our gospel is [in some sense] hidden [behind a veil], it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing; among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

The sinful nature off our flesh which has only hatred for the things of God, coupled with the veil that has been pulled over our eyes are two devices that are largely the reason why so much people seem to find comfort in sin, see God’s goodness to some extent, but still continue to live sinfully.

The Lord will remove the veil from each of our eyes but He requires us to act obediently in faith believing and accept Jesus’ forgiveness of your sins and receive Him as your Lord & Savior. If He removes the veil first, then your choice to accept Him wouldn’t be on made in faith but because you would be able to see clearly the evilness of sin and the glory of God.

My prayer today is like Moses you take that first step in faith, he stretched forth his rod and the red sea parted. If he didn’t, he and all of the Israelites would have died by Pharaoh and his army. Our step is one that is tied to very serious implications to life in the hereafter as well.

AMEN!
