A vessel can be likened unto a cup. The purpose of the cup is not merely to be filled but to be poured out for the benefit of the user. The Bible likens us all as either being vessels of honor or dishonor. When God made us, we had two intrinsic purposes – intake and outtake. Much like how we gain knowledge for the purpose of sharing and helping others. We were never made for hoarding, greed or excessive-ness.
Much like the sick feeling we have when we eat too much, we find ourselves uneasy, miserable and disgusted when we don’t share that which God has implanted in each of us. Maybe you have a very loving personality and your mission is to share your love to the rejected and battered. Maybe you have a talent that the world is thirsty for, but you bury it in fear.
We will all be held accountable to our Potter who has crafted each of us as jars of clay. Our purpose is to live to the point where we die on E. Yes, EMPTY. Life was never just about the school, the job, the house, car and family. That’s important yes, but life is about touching lives; being the best man of God or woman of God that you could ever be.
I encourage you Today, to BE a Vessel of Honor. Be the light in the darkness in your family, neighborhood, work place and community. Our world hungers desperately for you to awaken and arise in your purpose, passionately and unswervingly.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit each and every day, and pour out His power in love until we die on E.
When Jesus’ work was finished, it was a truly finished work. He covered all the bases and your eternal victory was one of them. When we become Christians, the battle seems not gets a lot harder. Our enemy along with our flesh, tempts us and yearns for things that we have become dead to even wanting or desiring. The key to maintaining victory is in one place, the mind.
This is the battlefield where many future leaders will be established and where many potential world changers will fail and be utterly destroyed. The mind, the place where thoughts are seeds implanted seemingly harmlessly, but grows to become some of the biggest trees. The mind, the factory where sins are produced and the home where righteous men are triumphant. The mind, the place where God and the devil seek supremacy amongst men.
What thoughts do you allow to enter into your mind?
Which ones to you ignore and which ones do you meditate upon?
Proverbs 23:7 – For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.
“He who who says he can and he who says he can’t are both usually right” – Confucius.
I encourage you to pray this simple prayer Today and gain endless victory over your mind:
LORD JESUS, I take captive of every thought to make it obedient to You. I decree that I have the mind of Christ which is life and peace and it will forever be stayed upon You. I cover my body, mind and spirit under Your Blood now and forevermore, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN!!!!
One of the greatest desires of God is to have the Word become flesh in our lives. He wants words on paper to manifest victory into reality by faith. For example, the Lord says, “If anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them” – Mark 11:23. As a result of reading this passage, I began speaking to my football injuries, headaches, symptoms of sicknesses and negative thoughts. I would say (which also means to declare), “Be healed in Jesus Name” or “Satan, the Blood of Jesus is against you” and I would be totally be healed and delivered.
When this happens, the words in the Bible become engrafted into our life as a living experience or testimony. Revelations 12:11 states, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” The Lord wants us to exercise our faith much as we exercise in the gym – by starting at a manageable weight and then moving up gradually.
The Lord healed me some years ago from an unknown condition which I suffered through for 9 months. I was told there was no cure or treatment for my condition because they didn’t know what it was. Nevertheless, God healed me miraculously after a 3-day fast. He showed me 3 sins that I had committed, even though at this point, I was on fire for God, that caused this to happen to me. After I repented from each sin, I was immediately healed. I then shared the testimony with a lady who had stage 4 leukemia and was on the verge of death. I said to her these exact words, “Hi, you see me standing here, I have just been healed from an unknown condition that I had suffered through for 9 months. You might have prayed and felt like God is not able to answer your prayer. It just means that something is blocking you from receiving your healing. You’re not going anywhere or doing anything, ask Him to show you and when He does repent from it and you will be totally healed.” That’s all I said. When I went back to the hospital two weeks after, I had seen the same nurse and asked her about the status of the patient, and she jumped and exclaimed, “She got healed and gone home!!!” Praise Be to God👐🙌🙏!!!
GOD IS ALIVE TODAY MORE THAN EVER. TRUST IN HIM AND HIS WORD. LET HIS WORD BECOME YOUR REALITY AND NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE WITH YOU!!!
Perhaps one of the greatest dilemmas in this world Today, are words professed in the absence of actions or evidence. When someone professes their love for you, it should normally be experienced more within their actions, than in their words, right? What is love in word that fails in deed? What is a god that is lacking in power?
One of the main reasons why I know Jesus Christ is real and worth serving and dying for is His love, manifested in power. Every truth and promise in His Word (the Bible) is backed by one immutable and irrefutable truth, “It is impossible for God to lie” Hebrews 6:18. Isn’t it the same Bible that says, ‘With God, anything is possible?’ Yet, it clearly states that God is restricted within His nature of God of Truth and Holiness from lying, and not delivering on His word.
Personally, I have had the honor of seeing His love manifested in power too many times in my life to ever doubt, but even greater than this, I have been used so many times to administer the love of God, manifested in salvation, healing and deliverance for others which makes the words of the Bible take on life and real significance.
My prayer is that we all give Jesus the opportunity to reveal His love for us in a powerful way as well. Your life would forever be changed for the best.
My prayer for everyone in this ‘Land We Love,’ is for all of us to be holistically free. We have freedom in one sense, but with regard to our minds, souls and bodies there is another fight to win. It is a fight, and winning is the only acceptable option. Freedom cannot be gained by merely asking or negotiation. For many, freedom had to be purchased in blood and battle.
Our freedom was already paid for, when Jesus Christ, the Lord & Savior of the World came down to earth and fought the most bloody and most important battle for all lifetime. He won the battle for us to have the following:
¤ For our health over sickness and disease
¤ For our peace of mind over stress and chaos
¤ For our self-control over addictions and weaknesses
¤ For our power over principalities and demonic forces.
¤ For our joy over anger and depression.
¤ For our prosperity over poverty and lack.
¤ For our freedom over sin, death and the grave.
This day of National Emancipation can become a day of Personal Eternal Emancipation. A day where YOU say to the devil, “I will serve you no longer,” a day where you say to your flesh, “I shall daily slay thee,” and finally; a day where say to Jesus, “Lord Jesus, I confess of all my sins and ask You to forgive me of all my unrighteousness. I invite You into my heart and my life and be My Lord & Savior forevermore. AMEN!!!”
LET TODAY BE THE DAY WE ALL EXPERIENCE AND CELEBRATE EMANCIPATION IN CHRIST JESUS.
1 Corinthians 13:6
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
This verse seems so simple and straightforward but it is more astonishing how the lines between evil, good and the truth have become blurred today. In times past people had twisted the truth of the Bible to appease worldwide atrocities, while some have rather twisted it to suit certain sinful vices and lifestyles. We have selected sins we ourselves condemn as evil and in the same breath commit other sins that we or society accepts as the norm.
Debauchery, lying, swearing, fornication, idolatry are some sins that are widely accepted and sad to say, rejoiced over in certain most circumstances, whilst, adultery, homosexuality, witchcraft and other sins are mostly condemned. What 1 Corinthians 13:6 says, is that love calls a spade a spade. If its wrong, it’s wrong. Love rejoices in the Truth, in holiness, in righteousness and rejects evil.
It is even more abominable that people have reached the point where they have seared their consciences and are not only able to accept evil as good, but gained the ability rejoice in it. This is one of the most dangerous place to be. Alarms, warn us of impending or present danger, this is the role of our conscience. When it is seared, it means that it ceases to function. Thus, after a while, sin not only feels normal after a while but good, while it’s wages (which is death) is looming, yet there is no such warning signal that reaches us.
1 Thessalonians 5:3
While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
And even when the numbers fade,
And the crowds decrease,
I will still remain with My Prince of Peace.
Even when the remnant is swayed,
And the warriors flee
I will still be praying on bended knees.
Even when the world turns away,
And they lock me away in prisons;
I will continue to love You Lord in all seasons.
Even when I am betrayed
By those closest and I’m beaten;
I will still dance for joy, drunk beyond reason.
Even when my energy gives way,
And I’ve prayed until I’m wheezing;
I will never stray from my reason for living.
Even when my body, this clay,
Has reached the limit its been given;
Yet, shall His grace empower me to pray without ceasing.
Do you like keeping score of wrongs done against you? Love becomes stifling in the midst of unforgiveness. No matter how good a spouse, a friend or a stranger, we are all prone to sins, shortcomings and mistakes. In an environment of forgiveness, trust and encouragement the capacity for growth is endless; yet, in an atmosphere of distrust, skepticism and fear, love is threatened to the point of futility.
Forgiveness is such an imperative that even God in His supernatural strength, cannot move in the life of an individual anchored in unforgiveness or crippled by fear. Hebrews 11:6 states, “And without faith it is impossible to please God…” and Matthew 6:14 says, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
Forgiveness and trust counters the hindrances to love’s perfection and maturity. In the same way our Loving God forgives and hopes endlessly amidst His knowledge that we are maybe going to fail yet again, He still does not refrain from loving and encouraging us. I encourage us all to be free from entanglements of distrust and the besetting sin of pride as well. Pride is foundation of unforgiveness and must ne banished. The humble He shall exalt and the proud, humbled.
Let’s love with all faith, hope and persistence.
Love and self-seeking are as incompatible as oil in water. John 3: 16 states, “For God so loved the world, that He GAVE…” Giving, sacrificing, and investing oneself is the truest testament of one’s love. It’s the evidence of words taking on living, irrefutable proof that indeed, I Love You.
If the language of love is poisoned with ‘You don’t give me this,’ ‘I need this,’ ‘If you love me who would do this;’ then like I had to do, you may also need to change as well. It has to do with friends, lovers or even strangers considering them all better than ourselves and by becoming a servant unto all. This love may seem radical, but it is the love that Jesus gave and the kind that God calls us to. As long as we are willing to obey, He will equip us with His divine grace to truly love and love selflessly.
Our world doesn’t need another war and our lives are most certainly are in need of a true revelation of God’s divine love for us. The disconnection between the created and their Creator needs to be mended by us giving the love due to the Savior of our souls. He is forever worthy of a life paid and laid down in love, and even then, we still wouldn’t have given Him His due. Let’s start Today, in Loving Him, then Loving Ourselves and thus, Loving Our very enemies.
