True Love Knows No End

If God does not do another miracle in your life would you still love Him?

If He never gave you the one thing you needed the most would you still serve Him?

What would it take for you to fall out of love for God.

Is it the scarcity of His presence?
The empowering feel of His love?
Is it the absence of His voice?
Or to never be able to see His face?

Surely, it must be something serious, so deep and so profound.

What would make me betray you?

LORD search my heart, purge the evil deep down.

Rid me of sin and the hold it has on me; break every stronghold that I may be free indeed.

Let me love you for who You are, for You first loved me unconditionally.

I desire for You to be my only desire, to fall endlessly in love with Thee.

For Your miracles, Your presence and benefits I am forever gracious.

Yet, it is Thy heart and not Thy hand that I love; Your confidence in me makes me greater.

Help me to see myself the way You see me that I may grow in faith.

Help me to love myself the way You love me that I may never waver.

If all the world’s a stage and we’re just a part of Your play;

Let me play the role that Your Son played and love like this was my last day.

I Love You Jesus, my Brother, My King, My Friend.

I Thank You for first loving me with a love that knows no end.

The Power of Two

Two, they say ‘is better than one;’
With one you may lose with two the battle is won.
A few may say, “A few is better than one.”
In a battle with a few the enemy will run.

Where two or three are gathered saith the Lord to us,
No man is an island – love hopes, love trusts.
One may chase a thousand and two set ten thousand to flight,
Let us pray together where we have exponential might through Jesus Christ.

“It’s not good for man to be alone” said God from the beginning of time.
This is true to this day, so let our powers be combined.
“A bird cannot fly on one wing’ and it takes two hands to clap,
This is why the enemy loves dissension, division, divorce and all that.

Let us be cognizant of the enemy and his schemes,
Let us not be proud, but be humble as we pray together on bended knees.
Let us pray for our future, our family, our nation’s needs;
Let us war for our promises, our future generations and our peace.

In the bond of two the enemy sees defeat,
We shall crush his head, the devil is under our feet.
Call a friend, your mother, a brother or your heart’s treat,
Tell them it’s time to pray to our Conquering Lion; Jesus Christ, our Prince of Peace.

Singing the Devil’s Praises

The language of the devil is lies, thus it follows that glorifying him any greater than speaking his language, is that of singing him praises by our grumbling. Grumbling means to complain about something in an ill-tempered way.

The enemy seeks to destroy our faith by speaking lies directly to us, often in a first-person form of speech. For example, I may be asking the Lord in prayer to heal me of a certain condition. The enemy will try to input thoughts into my mind by saying things such as:

¤ I don’t know why I’m wasting my time, I’m not going to get healed.
¤ Look how much good people died from sicknesses, why would I be any different?
¤ Maybe I should just accept this as my own reality and stop fighting it.
¤ Maybe God really doesn’t exist, and if He does; maybe He just doesn’t care.

This is exactly what happened to me when I was struck with an unknown and incurable condition. This is how the enemy injected doubt into my thought process, which became the very things I meditated upon, and therefore had spoken.

People would ask me, “Haven’t you prayed?” I would grumble by saying “Yeah, I prayed and God didn’t heal me.” Some may not see the sin of grumbling in this statement, but if you ponder it a while longer you will recognize that not only am I speaking doubt into others, but I am also solidifying the doubt I already have about God within myself. Lastly, I am speaking ill against the Lord.

I am basically saying:

– I, Philip McKenley, am a good person.
– I prayed
– God, ‘the bad person’, refuses or withholds His healing.

The Bible speaks of the Israelites grumbling in 1 Corinthians 10:8-11 in the wilderness in which God sent the destroying angel to kill every one of them. The thing with grumbling is that it’s very cancerous and it spreads like wildfire. Once the sin of grumbling is conceived by believing in the devil’s lies, they have basically accepted their defeat and only through sincere repentance may again find favor with God.

A Love to Die For

Perhaps the greatest hurt I could have is for you to have never come into contact with the insurmountable, purely intimate, indelibly intricate, passionately potent, all-encompassing love of our Magnificent God.

If I could impart the feel of His presence, all other contact and life experiences would pale in the awesome wonder of overflowing emotions, where words fail, knees are bended, hands ascended, tears a loose and your spirit aloft.

A Love this other-worldly cannot be sufficiently encapsulated by human words without catastrophic underestimation and so I’ll stop.

My prayer is that You; you who are reading this, will a day – even just one; treat your senses, your spirit, your entire being to the glory that is found in the presence of the LORD of all Lords.

I guarantee this one thing – One day, one moment will leave you capsized, forever broken, unendingly wanting, eternally hungry and alit with love, light & life for the first time.

When one meets God, even the world as gift is worth walking away from.

Zombie Culture

Zombies we are empowered by flesh,
With a need to feed;
Seeking for a higher threshold,
With an endless greed achieved.

A world built on sin, self and the grave –
Many reject Christ but seek a way to be saved.
The one path He paved – by His blood made a way;
Yet, as zombies we crave a different blood and lifelessly we walk away.

Zombies we are carved in sin,
With no innate need for Christ.
We choose to compete to be seen,
Than to appreciate being the apple of His eye.

A world tethered to short-lived happiness and pleasures that only lead to hell.
Even if one were to return to earth to warn us all, we would just ignore the bells.
The life we live it so important until it’s not;
The dreams, talents and all we have, yea all is given by God.

Zombies,we grovel and suffer,
When we were made to have dominion and power.
As we watch the deaths of our sisters and brothers,
We unconsciously take the same path that led to the demise of the others.

And if a beacon, a loud-speaker, a scream begged us to turn,
We would not even listen, just hear without the learn.
And if fellow zombies saw the light and told us of this truth,
We would just laugh and say “We are not yet ready for that may we please be excused.”

Sinners, like zombies we all were at some time.
Some gave Jesus a chance, the others kept their idols and shrines.
Sinners, like bondage we were all chained to believe the lies,
Some made them gospel, others Accepted the Gospel and Love of Christ.

I encourage and empower you all to make this change.
There is a powerful and prosperous life if we trust in the Ancient of Days.
He is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Most High God, forever worthy to be Praised.
Taste and See that the Lord is good and your life will never be the same.

Now that We Are Saved, What’s Next?

It’s been said that ‘The Body of Christ is not on a pleasure-cruise on its way to heaven, but a battleship stationed at the very gates of hell.’ Let this analogy wrap around your imagination for a minute.

In other words, now that we are saved and assured of our salvation; we now have the honorable responsibility of saving others, including our family, friends and world around us.

The Bible asks us to freely give as we have freely received. It also states that the harvest for souls is ready but the workers are few. Let us each, one by one, be the T.D. James and Billy Graham in our own circle of influence.

Reach out, Be Bold, Die daily; Remain humble, Seek souls and Live freely. You have now received power and authority from the God from Whom all power flows. Grow your faith, stay in the word, speak to your mountains, rebuke sickness and disease and most of all, love unconditionally.

I believe that if I could give so much for myself, then how much more am I willing to give it all for Christ. It’s even easier knowing that we are on the winning side. The battle is already won in Jesus’ Name!!!!

How to Know You’re Saved?

[cont’d study: 2 of 3]

1. Can you know for sure that you are saved?

There are multiple signs that accompanies us when we have successfully become children of God. They are:

i. A complete removal of all condemnation and guilt. 📖Rom. 8:1
ii. An over-powering feeling of freedom. This is also from all fear including the fear of death. 📖John 8:36 & 1 Cor. 15:55
iii. You feel as if the lights have just been turned on for the first time in your life; that is, overwhelming wisdom and clarity. Prov. 9:10
iv. Power that comes from indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This power also translates to power to overcome sin inclusive of your past addictions.
v. Clearer more consistent communication with yourself and God. 📖 Rev. 3:20
vi. Joy unspeakable, peace that surpasses all understanding and the fruits of the Spirit. 📖1 Peter 1:8
vii. A renewed conscience that is repentant and aware when sin has been committed. 📖Ezk. 36:26
viii. New desires and ambitions to do the things that will please the Lord. 📖 Ps. 51:10
ix. A passion for reading the Word of God, especially in the early stages. The devil will attack this area primarily.
x. Miracles, signs and wonders will follow. 📖Mark 16:17

There are so many other signs that follow when we give our lives to the Lord. These are just some of the main ones.

2. Is it Possible to be Deceived that You are Saved when You are Really Not?

It is very possible that one may believe they are saved when they are not. Let’s review the following verses.

Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Philippians 2:12b
…continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

Matthew 7:22-23
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

There are some today that preach another gospel than the one preached in the Bible. They preach a God of love and grace without teaching a God of justice. To preach one and not the other can be very catastrophic for new believers. Holiness is a major key of salvation and eternal life. As such, many may be deceived into believing they may live anyway the wish, whilst being ignorant of how much God detests sin. Revelations chapters 2 & 3 represents this truth more in-depth.

Tomorrow, we will look at the most important question of this study:

Now that I am Saved, What’s Next?

How to Know You’re Saved

Why Do You First Mean by ‘Saved’?

Saved means your life is safely given over to God. In order to do this we must
i. Confess with our mouth that ‘Jesus Christ is Lord’ and
ii. Believe in our heart that Christ was raised from the dead. 📖Rom. 10:9
This involves confessing our sins to Jesus, Our Savior and in faith, receive His forgiveness. Lastly, it also means to accept Him into our heart as Lord & Savior and follow after Him.

Luke 9:23
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

What Are We Getting Saved From?

It’s been said that “Only he who sees the disease will appreciate the cure” but I say “He who sees the disease of sin will appreciate and appropriate the cure of Jesus Christ.”

¤ We are firstly getting saved from a sinful lifestyle, bred on short-lived happiness leading to fleets of anger and depression. 📖Eccl. 1:14
¤ We are getting saved from our ‘self’, our flesh, which has nothing but hatred for God. 📖Romans 8:7
¤ We are getting saved from a devil who only has power over us while we abide in sin, but is a defeated foe once we step into our dominion authority as children of the Lord, Most High. 📖John 10:10
¤ We are getting saved from an eternity in hell where there will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. 📖Matt 13:42

I encourage each person reading this to take a look at the scripture references given.

In the next 2 days we will examine the following questions:
i. Can you know for sure that you are saved?
ii. Is it possible to be deceived that you are saved when you are really not?
iii. After being saved, What Then?
